A New and Exciting Era

NOORSAT was established in 2004, well over a decade ago. In that time, I have watched what was a small company achieve an impressive rate of growth and market share. I am immensely proud of the journey that we have taken so far, growing and evolving with our customers who are at the front and centre of everything we do.

Throughout this time, NOORSAT has proudly partnered with Eutelsat in the Middle East and North Africa and, through its extensive assets, we have been able to grow and develop our service offering across this vibrant region.

NOORSAT is now moving into a new era where, as part of Eutelsat, we will be able to better serve our customers and further enhance our business as a leading satellite service provider.

As a leading satellite player in MENA, Eutelsat is a company that sets the trend in technological, commercial and operational excellence. Two-thirds of its 39-strong satellite fleet offer coverage of both Europe and MENA. Its assets include the 7/8° West orbital position at which two out of three satellite channels in MENA have converged, making it the most popular TV delivery means in the region, serving over 90% of the TV audience and the HOTBIRD position that reaches into millions of homes in Europe and beyond. Our customers will now benefit from this global reach and global delivery, supported by the comprehensive network of local Eutelsat offices, leveraging Eutelsat’s 60 partner teleports.

But it’s not just about extending reach. Customers will benefit from the extra talent and additional skillsets that Eutelsat offers as well as gain access to the innovation that drives future services, ensuring we stay one-step ahead technologically.

Viewing trends across sophisticated MENA broadcasting markets are evolving fast and, as we go forward, we will embrace the transition to High Definition (HD) TV that enables broadcasters to differentiate their content. Screens across the region are getting bigger and HD-ready, as they have in other parts of the world. On these new, larger screens, SD no longer provides the high quality viewing experience viewers expect. We look forward to accelerating the roll-out of High Definition across the region, and to preparing and supporting our customers for the introduction of Ultra HD.

Our priority is to deliver the very highest quality satellite services to our customers, whether that is for broadcast, media, telecom or data services. The combination of our intimate market knowledge, and Eutelsat’s extensive expertise and coverage across the Middle East and the rest of the globe, will strengthen our offering to take our service delivery to another level.

We look forward to sharing this new and exciting part of our journey with you.
